Colorful February

It's been a busy month. Can't believe that I havent found time to really blog properly. I got some big news within this month, I thank God for that :D
I've mainly been busy with my schoolwork mainly - it really is a problem when all of your modules require you to do some projects for them. Hehe ;p I'm pressing on, drawing strength and wisdom frm Abba Father.

Now, I guess my blog deserves some fair treatment. Haha. I shall let the pictures do the narrating work :p It's mainly stuff I've done apart frm schoolwork! :p

Spiderman is back frm sailing finally. I think it's really cool. I would want an experience of living in the sea for a few months. Haha. The most amazing part about his experience is that, he got to see the dolphins!! I would give anything to exchange for that kind of gorgeous scene!
On a random day, Elaine and I worked in the Science library. Haha. She's a wonderful friend, totally admire the gifts God has put in her life. Love the way she plays the keys so wonderfully. She's been a great company, pleasant to talk to, and always always reminds me to bring God into any circumstances. Anyways she's admiring my sketches I had to do for one of my modules. Haha.
My first attempt - it's so obvious that I can't play cello. I like it a lot because I always think that cellists are so graceful :D I'm trying. I'm trying. Hopefully I can learn something solid frm Ruoxin. Haha!On a random night, I saw some fire fighters downstairs through the windows. As a true Malaysian, I ran downstairs to kaypoh to find out what's going on. So apparently one of the walls beside the lift caught on fire. Reasons unkown. The police actually didnt allow me to take pictures of the crimescene. Damn. This was taken during a tutorial of GEK1054, Music In Global Context. One of the modules which I love a lot. I always have fun during the tutorials because we get to play the instruments. YAY! That week's tutorial was about Indonesian music. We played the kompang.During the International Student Festival, In-Fusion, I got myself a henna again. The girls are really cool, I probably can't draw anything like them :o
On a beautiful Saturday morning, Amy and I went for a golf crash course. I love it! Ok, you can't see the golf ball in this picture, because it flew really far away! YAY!! Haha! The trio. Amy was the best performer that day, and she won her.elf 3 golf balls.
We had to do video shooting for one of our projects. These are 2 friends from another group. It's the semi-pro video camera that we're using ;p
Mbira. It's an african musical instrument. It's sound is amazing, I really love it. Wished I own one of these. My lecturer is good at playing that. It reminds me a lot of Mermaid. You can listen to how it sounds like here- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0PBBtsAAVc&feature=channel
We celebrated Ome's birthday during one of our caregroups. It was a great time ;)
Okay beautiful ones, I know I owe you guys these photos. I will try to send you guys the photos as soon as possible. Haha!Oh and I worked really hard on this project work too! It's a boardgame we designed for one of our module, NM3216, Game Design. Yes, it's finally done! I had a great time working with the other 3 girls. They are amazing. The 2nd project is gonna be so much tougher where we have to create a computer game. We have to use an opensource called Blender, which runs so slow on Leopard. Ah god, I hope that Apple will fix the damn OpenGL bug before we start working on this project. But I think it's highly impossible.
One more highlight of the month- Emerge Concert @ Lunar! Yes, it's the annual highlight of Voices. We had much fun performing. Okay, please ignore my makeup. The makeup artist was a little too cruel to me :s
My band!My sifu. He's trying to be as cool as my dream guitarist :p
One of my favourite items. David is a goooooooood guitarist!
And we ended the day on a high note!
I've got more to talk about! But I need my beauty sleep now. Haha! ;p

Hi Ziyi-

You'll be fine even without any music background. It's mostly to introduce to you some music from different continents - from Africa, to Asia, to South America, to Europe, etc. You'll be fine long as you enjoy learning about music, or you want to find out more about it! :)

Drop me an email if you want to find out more about the module - kooicia [at] nus.edu.sg

All the best! :)
