It's Recess Week. It's meant for us to take a break frm all our work, and also for us to review our progress throughout the 1st half of the semester. Apart frm that, it's a time that we can sort out how much work do we have before we're done.

I havent had that many projects in a semester before. But I trust that God'll grant me the wisdom and ability to juggle among all these ;)

Jamming

We had mighty fun during the practise tonight. I've gotta practise harder on 1 more song though. We've got a new drummer in the band today, Danny, an exchange student frm the Netherlands. He's pretty impressive. He could play really well after seeing Julian playing for couple of times - without any practises prior to this.

On the way home, I told him how I really joining the band wanting to be a drummer - but they prefer someone who can play readily. Hehe ;p He said he can teach me and then I can be the drummer next sem, lol. Well, accoustic guitar is not that bad - it's just that I feel like learning drum, have been wanting to learn drum! I'm glad that I'm back in touch with music again this semester, really glad ;)

After I got home I played the guitar for another 3 hours more with Amy. Haha! Just cant stop playing, just cant stop singing!

CS3342 Project

We're happy to see our first prototype for CS3342. Even though we didn't get to present our slides that Jo has spent so much time preparing after waiting for 3 hours, all of us were happy with the progress so far. After the class just now, we just felt quite lost for a moment. It felt as though we've done the whole project but fact is, we barely have started. Haha ;p So yea, we have to continue working on the project.

CS3240

As for the CS3240 project, we've mainly decided on the idea, so we'll have to find out how to implement what we've planned. I certainly hope that we can do something as stunning and breathtaking :D

Mickey pencil case

Most importantly, guess what?! Oh well, I didnt write about losing my Mickey pencil case. But yea, I lost my Mickey pencil case last week.

I was kinda sad about it cause it's a precious gift frm one of my best old friend! In that little card that came along with the Mickey pencil case, she wrote a few words - each word showed how much she loves and cares for me, and how much confidence she has in me ;) The case has been with me for like 3 years plus. When I lost it, I felt so sorry to my fat darling :( On top of that, I've got my most-favouritest mechanical pencil in it!

But God does wonders! Haha ;p I tried searching for it by my own might, and I gave up after a few days. And I thought I should accept the fact that it's gone. Just last night, I prayed a random prayer. I thought it would be great if God would send the pencil case back to me - I dont mind if the pencil is not returned to me anymore.

And today Raynor texted me before I got to the class - the Mickey was on the table! Haha! Yay. It must be God I told him ;) Indeed, it must be Him ^^

I really dont know what has become of Malaysia. Each time things like this happen Malaysiakini will become almost inaccessible due to the overwhelming traffic. Can only pray for Malaysia, hoping that justice will prevail.

It's really a birthweek

Yet another celebration! My caregroup had this celebration for September babies today. They've put in so much effort for this whole thing, can't believe that they actually came out with the Arrow Cap5 Cafe idea. Haha ;p

Really touched indeed, and most importantly, the food that they served was edible! Haha ;p And thanks for the anointing oil and the sermon.

Honestly, I think we are like acquaintances still, mainly because I don't spend that much time queuing for church with them, attending Arrow services and also didnt really meet them in school that much. And also because I missed almost every caregroup last semester due to the ASES meetings ;p But I can't wait to grow more intimate with them - they are really beautiful children of God!

Can't thank God enough for placing wonderful people in my life.

And when I got home after caregoup, I was really surprised to find a big package at my door step! Haha! Yeah! Regina has really been kind to me- she's been sending me her love every semester. A box full of snacks, yum yum yum. That's the reason for me to grow fat too.
I'll have a busy weekend ahead. With a lot of things to work on because I've got 5 projects on hand! But I believe that He's conquered them for me, yay!

It's been a year since 6 of us actually sat on a table together! Reminds me so much of those times in our 1st year in School of Computing! Haha ;p It just shows how time flies, we're into our 3rd year now and all of us are getting busier with our own courses.

We didnt really plan to have that massive kinda reunion today. Carol wanted to ask CS about Netbeans during lunch time, so I happily dated Karmun and Euliang for lunch together too. As we were happily talking across the table, we spotted Chee Han!! Oh my goodness! Hahha ;p I was really excited cause it means we're pretty much complete then! Haha!

This reminds me so much of the days where we struggled to understand Java in CS1101.

My dear dear Malaysian friends in  SoC - how can you not capture a moment like this? A pleasant surprise of the day!

I turned 22

I want to get this straight - I am not 6, nor am I 16.

I thank God for another year of wonderful life, a life with overflowing blessings! I think I'm having a birthweek, instead of birthday. Haha ;p Got a package frm Regina, and then Cat.

Thanks for my beautiful roomie, Amy for the pleasant surprise at 12am! And also thanks for the prayer too!

And then, I met up with Ee-reh and Jenny frm England. It's so great to have her back in this little citystate again! I spent the entire afternoon with them in Suntec city ;p We had wonderful time catching up. Jenny is such a lovely girl. We talked about how gentlemen British are, and how Ee-reh educated some of her friends in Singapore to be a gentleman. Haha ;p

We went to the arcade too! It's really fun playing the basketball, and also the Mario car racers. I was the 1st! Well, I chose Mario as my character, and I didnt know that Mario has mustache =.= So my picture ended being covered by the mustache. Grrrhhh....

And then, later in the evening, I met Jinxuan and Vicky at Plaza Singapura. Was supposed to watch Wall-E but we had to run earlier cause a dessert session was scheduled last minute. Hehe ;p

So we headed to PS Cafe at Orchard at 9.30pm. It was great to see the little-UN crew again!! Carli, Wouter and Rachel!! And later Kristina joined us too. Kristina is the craziest Norwegian I've every met. Haha. Had a marvelous time catching up with them too! Can't believe that it's been 2 years since we were back in PGP celebrating Mikey's birthday, and mine ;p

Today, Meifen brought me out for dinner after church - it was great to see her again! Have missed her for a bit ;p We had some really nice Japanese food and then guess what we had for dessert? Ben & Jerry's!! Haha! It's got to be the best combination of food! Haha ;p I love B&J! Makes me miss Ken and Cat a lot! Haha ;p

Well, thanks a lot guys - for the calls, sms-es, messages on Friendster and also the wall messages on Facebook! I'll reply to them all, thanks for the blessings ;)

Oh and thanks to Karmun and CS too! Haha ;p though we didnt make it to the Botak Jones' neighbour, we will do it one day in the near future. Haha. And blessed birthday to couple of my friends who share the same birthday as I do - Eu Liang, Mikey and Yu-Jen! Haha ;p

And I thank God for a wonderful year has passed, for His blessings have been showered onto me. He's just so unfairly good to me. Thanks for putting the angelic friends around me for they have made my life beautiful. And also my loving funny family ;p

I know that the year ahead is gonna get better, because I'm His princess ^^

Clementiland

It's been one month since I moved into this new home in Clementi. Can't stop thanking God for the place. Everything has been fine so far. The location, the room, the landlord and the rent are fairly good. Most importantly, I've got a wonderful roommate!! Haha ;p Amy has been really nice and considerate and lovely. And she's a really hardworking girl, I hope I'll get influenced soon!

Come to think about that, I think staying off campus is my prayer answered, in some sense. I haven't been praying to be disowned by on-campus accommodation of course. But I remember how I had been telling friends that life in PGP is fantastic minus one fact that is, the people staying in the same cluster are not really bonded. So if something happens to someone in the PGP room, it may take a few days before the neighbour would actually find out.

I prefer living with someone, or a group of people, like a family. That's why I love my Little United Nation crew so much ;p

In conclusion, my home in Clementiland is wonderful. And I thank God for providing - looking back to the past few months when my friends were frantically looking for places and I was really resting and not too bothered. Haha ;p God has the best ready for His child.

PS: Oh pray for Carli, hopefully she'll get a place soon!

Introducing Nameless

I am honored to be given the chance to take care of him for a few days. Nameless is getting really famous nowadays, many of my friends have met him. Cant believe that we actually played with him for like 1.5 hours at the canteen. Haha. I think he will have his own fans club soon! Haha ;p Most importantly, he's behaving really well. I shall showcase some of this work soon ;p
I had such a long talk with Devika last night! Can't believe that. I miss her so much! Hadnt quite talked to her in a while cause she's been really busy. We caught up on a lot of things, and I filled her in with the gossips and news of everyone too. Hehe ;p Rachel and I earlier appointed Asma as the organizer for our official reunion. And Devika just suggested that the date shall be set on my graduation day! Haha ;p I think that sounds like a fine idea too! Let's see how it goes, lol. Later Ed got online as well, so 3 of us ended up doing a conference call. I miss his British accent! Hehe ;p that's so much fun.

Oh and I went to Eugene's to learn guitar frm him, I learnt quite a fair bit I think. Hehe ;p Wished I was half as good as him. He's nice enough to spend time coaching me and telling me something really basic- maybe he would think that I'm such a stupid student cause I didnt know the most basic stuff. Haha ;p Thanks fo much though! Hopefully I can pick up quick enough and then I'll be able to play more songs! ;)

School has been alright. The major project that we're having is taking a turn into an altogether different direction now. We'll need to brainstorm more on that to see how should we proceed. The lecturer has preference for games ;p So yea, I hope it's gonna be a fun process developing the game. God's gotta keep pouring wisdom onto me mercilessly cause I think I am slow in picking up some new programming language. I'm not a geek at all! Haha ;p

I get to play with Nameless!

It's Carli's most horrible day today! She has some serious issues with her landlady. So her flatmates signed a legal contract with the landlady. Apparently the landlady's ex-husband owns the flat too! And the ex-husband has been doing some stupid things - he appeared in the flat randomly, he locked them in, etc. Worst of all, he actually thought it's alright to give Carli and her flatmates 1 day's notice for them to move out. This is totally unacceptable.

Yea, so was helping Carli to move today, and we're having some problems moving the mattress, because it's just too long. As I was praying for God to send a huge cab, somehow it just stirred up in me that I've got a friend who has a huge car! Haha ;p So yea, I rang Jason and he's really nice enough to come over to help!

It's been a long day. We had some really good supper at River Valley after. Hope things will get better for Carli. On a brighter note, I get to play with Nameless, the Nikon D80, for a this week! Yeah!! Haha ;p Can't wait to have fun with him! ;)
