What a Saturday- all the more reason for me to slack in, haha!


And last but not least, DEVIKA!!! Oh my goodness!! You won't know how awesome it feels. After a year and a half. Finally ;)
Look she's a really great girl and she's keeping herself really busy. But I think it'll all pay off in the future.
She devloped MANY photos in different sizes - for different purposes. Some of them are to hung on the wall, some are to be put in my wallet for me to bring along with me wherever I go. It reminds me so much of those times! They were precious! And she wrote like 3 pages long of letter! It's like she's telling me things, like we did back before back in PGP. I love hearing all the updates that she has to tell me. She said that we should be pen-pals, till we see each other again. That's absolutely brilliant. Ha!
It's really lovely to know how is she doing and how is she feeling - even as we have moved on.

This is the essence of love. Haha. So blessed, so loved. And all my 3 girlfriends occurred to me on this same day ;o) It's a pleasant surprise.

Often we get too busy with everything in life, and we forget to slow down to appreciate the beauty that actually surrounds us.

And I told myself, really, time to get a DSLR! Haha! I want a Canon 400D!

The first time that I ever really comprehended the Chinese saying, "夕陽無限好", was last winter. It was a late afternoon, when I stood overlooking the beautiful Sun Moon Lake in Taiwan. The sun went down just as the clock was clicking away. So brilliant yet so short. Never really understood that Chinese saying by heart, until then.

There must be a reason as to why God created 24 hours in a day.
And also, why must human fall asleep at night.

I shall be obedient and go into sleep. Resting in Him is the most effective way to productivity ;)

Almost everyone knows me as Penny now and only couple of friends back home remain calling my Chinese name. Sometimes I just feel exceptionally at home when people say, "Cia..." to me. Perhaps it's because I havent heard it that often here. It's something I never knew I miss since I came over ;p

Had a pretty nice Easter Day.
Church was awesome as usual. Thanks to Selene for helping Syen and I get seats in the auditorium. Otherwise we would be stranded elsewhere. Hehe ;p
And Pastor Prince's sermon was really powerful. He shared on couple of things, Tabernacle of Moses and Tabernacle of David, etc. Sweet revelations.

After church, I went to Sue's to help her fix her Macbook. She's perhaps the most-non-mac-ish Macbook user I've seen on earth! Haha! Things were in absolute mess. She's staying in a nice unit in Bayshore, and the East Coast Park is only within walking distance frm her place! It's well equipped with some nice facilities like gym, swimming pool too. Meifen came along too. We had some awesome dinner.

After getting back from dinner, I was busy replying some emails to some of the organizations that we're working with on an event. And I played some games too ;p

As I was doing everything else happily, Karmun sent a message over asking me why doesnt her lab work. Of all sudden, I went WHAT?!! I forgot about my lab that due tomorrow!!!

Right. Jolly Thursday. And I'm now working hard on my CS3241 lab. OpenGL. Gah.

I had a cooking test as part of my LAV1201 (Vietnamese 1) CA.
We had mighty fun preparing the Vietnamese Salad Roll.
I think I make a good roller ;p

I guess my mom would probably be really proud of me. Being a daughter which has never been helpful in houseworks, what more in kitchen. Haha. Something that I learn in Singapore that she will perhaps appreciate!

We had a fantastic Vietnamese Food Fest at one of our teachers' place after. Yummmmmmy...

Spent the past 2 hours drawing in Flash and it just quits unexpectedly?!!!
Argh and I did not save it up >.<

And McDonalds wasnt being friendly today too. Called 'em up at 1am wanting to order some food, and the guy said, "We will take 1.5 hours to deliver the food."

I went like WHAT?!
So apparently they've got some overwhelming orders ey.

CS and Euliang went to Super Snacks as they wanted to get the waffles. And there was some massive queue in there too. 20 minutes of waiting time.

So everyone's eating so late at night apparently.

Yay! Installed both MacOSX and Windows XP, and also most of the softwares are up and running now!

Finally, I've got the hardisk of my Macbook upgraded!
Had a Seagate 60GB, now I have Western Digital 160GB.

It's supposed to be rather easy to upgrade the hardisk by yourself, but I had so much pain, cause-
1. Firstly, I got the wrong hardisk (Thanks to Active Foto)
2. Secondly, I can't seem to get the freaking Torx T9 screwdriver!

Anyways, if you want to upgrade your Macbook hardisk, make sure that you have these with you-
1. new 2.5" SATA hardisk (think IDE doesnt work with Macbook)
2. new SATA external hardisk enclosure
3. Torx T9 screwdriver (to unscrew the cradle of the hardisk)
4. The eyeglass screwdriver (to unscrew the L-shaped metal piece)

Now, after you've got everything ready-
1. Copy the whole disk into your new hardisk - you can install SuperDuper! for this ;)
2. Turn off your Macbook. Take the battery off.
3. Unscrew the L-shaped metal piece and remove it slowly and carefully.
4. The hardisk is located beneath the short-leg of the L.
5. Pull the hardisk out - there's a little white tag for you to pull it off
6. Unscrew the cradle - this is the culprit, you need the freaking T9 screwdriver.
7. Screw the cradle onto the new hardisk.
8. Push the hardisk back in there. Make sure that it's intact.
9. Screw the L-shaped metal piece back in place.
10. And last but not least, your battery ;)

I tried unscrewing the cradle using all sorts of screwdrivers but nothing worked out!
So I ended up borrowing the screwdriver frm the technician in the IT Coop. Haha ;p

After so many hours, finally, I've got my hardisk upgraded!
The culprit - Torx T9 screwdriver >.<

I've wanted to upgrade the hardisk of my Macbook.
So then I got Karmun to help me buy a hardisk frm IT Show.

Anyways, we got cheated by Active Foto >.<
Bah, called them up and didnt manage to get anything solved.
Just the way of them doing business - crappy after sales service.

Won't buy anything frm Active Foto anymore.
I havent liked Sim Lim in general, just dont feel quite comfortable being in there.
I think I would recommend Best Bargain and Bell Systems though. Hehe ;p

PS: I havent quite had good encounter with a certain type of people - I dont know why. I dont wanna be racist. Trying to keep myself neutral to every race ;)

Totally love the weather this week. It hasn't been quite hot, and not too cold too. Just like the autumn-winter in Taiwan ;) A bit chilly yet comfy.
Think it's the perfect weather to sleep in. So reluctant to get out of bed ;p

I prefer winter over summer. Haha! Penguins are meant to be in the Antarctica to begin with! XD

If you look at my MSN status message, you would know that I'm looking for B+ blood donor. It's for my friend's cousin who just underwent bone marrow transplant in NUH.

What amazes me really was I've been able to get a few friends to help, and many others asking. Majority of those helping are actually not my friends, they're my friends' friends. It's so touching to see that they are also helping me to ask around ;)
Some were really keen, unfortunately they're of O+ blood.

And today, I've got another friend who's able to help. Before ending the conversation, he said, I'll see what I can do to help, even if the kid needs bone marrow.
What he said really struck me. People are willing to help to this extent.

Oh and the first to respond was my friend's friend. After I thanked him, he said, you're welcome, in Jesus' name I do this. I went "WOW!" Ha ;) Really thank God for him.
